The RainShadow RX7 HS9000 has been a popular model for this -
If you want a little bit shorter with any of our 610MXF, though the Revelation is a great way to go -

If you’re looking for a downrigger rod then the BP1266 is the way to go, or any of the rods from that RX4 series (I personally run the BP1265).
For river then the RainShadow RX8 series that Spencer mentions are awesome for a highend rod -
Though the RX7 series is incredibly popular in the Northwest, so the IST1143 would be great all around steelhead rod -
Like Lamiglass we’re also loc

This is always the most exciting time of the year hear at Batson Enterprises as we release our New Products for the 2018 season (some of which is already available). So much time and energy goes into every product, from concept to design to testing to manufacturing. Then to finally release these products out to the public, it's an incredible feeling to all of us here at the offices to see fish ca

Dave,
We have one Australian distributor:
ACM Custom Rods
Etta Bay, QLD
0412-821-768
www.acmcustomrods.com.au
They don't have the above models on their site but they can always get them in, just give them a call for a price. I imagine that they would get the shipping price down quite a bit.

If you’re interested in hearing about RainShadow Rod Blanks these are the models we believe would be the closest fit from us (though we don’t have first hand experience with that blank).
From our RX6/E-Glass Tuna series we’d say: RCTB56H & RCTB56XXH
Or from our E-Glass Stand Up rod blanks the FSU56XH

There really isn’t a replacement for the RX7+, the closest would be the Eternity2 blank which is a step or two up in materials and production – which you should be more than happy with.
The RX7 fly would be the Revelation blank.

Owen, we just replied back. It was a holiday weekend here in the states.
Not sure which email address you sent to either as I didn't see your first email, only your second one. But the design department has your second email and will reach out to you (though they are busy working with other customers as well, as we do supply a large chunk of built fishing rod industry).

If you’re looking for a specific blank design, give us a call at Batson Enterprises. Since you were willing to do an order of a 100 blanks from them, for that type of quantity (possibly even less depending on tooling) we could specifically design a RainShadow rod blank for you to meet the specs that you like. Don't feel limited to just our stocked inventory.

We’re having an incredible sale on some unique rod components and it’s available to you, the general public! 50% off MSRP on select items.
That’s right for the first time you can buy rod components directly from Batson Enterprises through our website. Many of these items are leftovers from special orders, so they are quite unique and not something that you’re going to see often as they aren’t

The Judge 7-Foot crankbaits will be at the show this weekend as well as the Judge Live Bait. So if you're at ICRBE be a great chance to see them in person.

Trolling with small Crankbaits - a faster trolling than bottom bounce. Depends on water conditions of course and a shallower area as well as night time. Learned about it from a cousin who's a walleye guide here in WA, which he proved to me.
Bottom bounce typically is more productive t

Depends on the presentation that doing, but this is what I personally use for Walleye.
For Bottom bounce I built up the RainShadow REVELATION REVC76M -
For top water I used the RainShadow REVELATION Crankbait REVCB76M -
7'6" to 8' rods would be perfect length for the above.

We'd recommend our RainShadow Immortal IMMP76M 7'6", 8-14lb w/ lure weight 1/4-5/8oz., Mod-fast and Medium Power.
This model and length also comes in ML and MH Power, depending on the lures you're using.

From the RainShadow lineup (which Spencer picked some nice ones) we'd also recommend:
Immortal IMMP70MH & IMMP76MH - True high performance and high modulus blanks at a great price -
REVELATION REVIP80MH & REVIP80H -

We could probably find some with a lower blank weight but since not all of your clients are skilled with a rod, durability is important the guide industry. Always feel free to call in and talk to one of the sales reps as well.
Yeah taking off 6-inches shouldn't change the blank too much.

For striper trolling we'd recommend from our RainShadow lineup:

RCKJB700-250 - 7'0", 30-50lb., 6-10oz., Moderate Action and MH Power - 6.8oz. blank weight
RCKJB700-325 - 7'0", 30-60lb., 8-12oz., Moderate Action and Heavy Power - 9.0oz. blank weight

It’ll hold up just fine, it’s a pretty stout blank.

You can go with the BPs you were thinking but they are definitely more of a downrigger rod.
We’d recommend the RainShadow RX7 ISA1266 -
Also from North Fork Composites the SA1065 available in Standard, Intermediate and High Modulus would work great as well.

Yes. Since you’re hover fishing, not casting, we’re not worried about the lure weight. This blank, we feel is perfect for the application you’re looking for, will more than hold up to any Chinook you hook onto.

204. Re: Hover blank
We don’t hear a whole lot about hover fishing on the Columbia (though we know the river well) but these would be our RainShadow Rod Blank recommendations:
RX7 HS962 1-Piece and HS1023 2-Piece -
RX4 BP1024 2-Piece which you can also use as a Downrigger -
As far as Spiral Wrap goes, typically we start the first guide at 10-20 degrees, then to 40, 90, 140 and finally the full 180 degrees.

RainShadow RX7 IST1084F, 9’ 2-Piece 8-12lb Mod-Fast and Medium Power -
RainShadow HS1021F, 8’6” 2-Piece 8-15lb XF and Medium power -
Also from North Fork Composites we’d recommend ST804-2 IM and HS761-2 IM
Since you’re in the Northwest, if you ever make it up to Sequim feel free to stop by the office and you can pull on some blanks. Many of our guys in the office live and breath fishing

I'd recommend our RainShadow Immortal series of Walleye blanks. This is a true hi-modulus blank.
IMMWS62MXF - 6'2" with a Medium power.
Our ML's start at 7'2" in this series.

Matthew, was there a specific model that you were looking at for NFC?
They have some Ex-Fast models.
We feel their ratings are pretty true.

209. Re: NRX Comparisons
North Fork Composites would definitely be the closest to NRX. Designed by the same Gary Loomis with updated designs and materials, kind of the 2nd generation of those Loomis rod blanks.

We'd recommend our RainShadow RCJKB series, it has E-Glass in the tip with RX6 in the bottom half. There's a few different options in lenth from 6' to 1'
