What are you fishing for? Deep water around oil rigs? It’ll give us a better idea on recommending a rod blank. With that jig, like Robert mentions is hard to use a lighter blank without knowing a little bit more info.

Like Don, I would say RainShadow Immortal lineup is barely a notch below Eternity’s in sensitivity and overall quality. They're a tad heavier but they're a bit more durable too. We definitely consider it a high end blank, but they're also great bang for the buck. The NFC blanks are also awesome of course, sure you'll enjoy that one.

As of right now there's not plans for Eternity Flippin' Stick, though that can always change if there's enough demand. Have you looked at our Immortal Lineup? They're great blanks, quite high end and incredibly sensitive. I personally use them for light applications. There's two models that are designed for Flippin' applications, the IMMC76H and IMMC76XH (Immortal are import blanks if th

Correct the RX6/E-Glass is a composite. Durable RX6 graphite in the butt with an E-Glass tip. The RCKJB, and even moreso the RCLB, are quite popular in Southern Cal as they’re both durable and sensitive and at a nice price point. We use PVC Piping with caps for each end. Most of the time the rod is in a plastic bag sleeve then wrap bubble wrap around the butt, tip and at least one spot in the middle – this will keep it from bouncing around inside the tube. Then tape up the end caps.

From RainShadow Rod Blanks we’d recommend our RX6 Graphite / E-Glass lineup: RCKJB 700-112 - 7’ 1-piece, 15-30lb. Medium Action and ML Power RCKJB 700-250 - 7’ 1-piece, 30-50lb. Medium Action and MH Power

These new Made in USA Judge Crankbait blanks from RainShadow impressed at ICAST a few weeks ago and everyone on our pro staff wants one. Taking 18 months in development by the design team at Batson Enterprises, Jaguar Design took on the challenge of designing a blank that can hold up to power fishing anglers and their larger crankbait lures. Featuring a linear S-Glass blended with RX7 graphite

As many of you already know we’ve brought the production of Eternity Cast/Spin Rod Blanks to the U.S. This allows even tighter quality control and increased performance. These revised Eternity blanks feature a proprietary micro buffed finish which reduces rod weight even further, while providing a super smooth semi-gloss finish. These new blanks feature proprietary new state-of-the-art RX9+ ca

Yes we still have hard copies of the catalog, just call or email in to our offices. Of course the most updated specs are online, as there's always some typos in a catalog.

This is the most exciting time of the year for all of us at Batson Enterprises as we release our new 2017 Catalog. So much time and energy goes into every product, from concept to design and finally manufacturing, that it's incredible to see fish of all sizes caught using our rod blanks and/or rod components. So with that we are releasing over 500 new products (including the various sizes) in

We use Texalium tubing quite a bit up here on our downrigger rods, use it like a slick butt. There’ll be a some wear on them over time, just like any grip, but they’ll hold up just fine.

We’ll throw our RainShadow blanks into the ring as well. From our lineup the RX6/E-Glass RCJB84H is probably our best fit for what you're looking for – this blank is used heavily in California for Yellowfin that they use as a popping and 40# yoyo applications. Find more info at: RCKJB700-325 is another great option, has a slower action than the above. Find the specs at:

Hi Randy, I just went into the warehouse and grabbed the and AHD reel seat with gold and the ForeCast AG gold gimbal and took a quick photo - the golds match up well: Getbit and a number of the Batson retail outlets have it in stock - unfortunately the old photo of the AG gimbal isn't a good color representation (we're re-shooting many of our products for the 2016 catalog). Couldn't te

Like others said it depends what you’re looking to do with the rod to pick a specific blank but here are a few models from our lineup that fit. RainShadow Immortal line is High Modulus and for the most part comes in at $150 retail (depending on the dealer). RainShadow Revelation line, is Intermediate Modulus and is a tournament tested for a number of year loved by many. RX7 lineup i
