Sorry Mike, I don't have a digital camera. All I can tell you is that it's a freshwater fly rod.

32. Fly rod guide
Gentlemen, I need some help finding a fly rod guide that goes on an old glass rod. The guide is a double foot probably chrome with a ring size measuring 6.80 mm on the outside of the ring and measuring around 10.20 mm for the height. I have tried looking on the sponsor's websites but with no luck.
Thanks for the help
Terry

I just finished tying 8 Fuji LSG-4 micro guides. This is my first micro guide wrap and one of the reasons that I did not jump on the micro band wagon earlier was because of the tip tops. I did not want to split the tube or wrap another guide at the end of the rod for the purpose of matching the ring size of the tip to to the guides.. So when ordering these micro guides I found out that the smalle

Chris, Please send me an email at tmorrell@swbell.net. I can't seem to send you an email. It keeps bouncing back. I figure if you send me one that would open up the door so to speak. Sorry Tom, but this seems to be the only way to make contact.
Thanks, Terry

Could somebody tell me about the winning spinning rod that was used in the casting contest. Like how was it set up, how many guides used and what kind. You know, all the particulars.
Thanks Terry

44. Re: WHITE BLANK
I 'm hesitant to mention CTS. The reason I say that is because it takes so long to get the blanks. I've had a white blank on order since the last week of DEC and still nothing. I'm getting pressed for time.

I'm going to find out if things have improved, I have one on order. The last time I ordered it took around 8 or 9 months to get. Not trying to scare anybody off.

OK. Thanks very much for the info, I guess I was concerned with the ring size of the running guides compared to the ring size on the tip top. Thought the disparity in size would put undue stress between the last running guide and tip top.
Thanks

49. Micro guides
Gentlemen,
I about to embark into my first attempt using micros on a CTS 9' 6" steelhead blank. I have read just about everything on micros and tip tops. I'm going to be using a Stradic 2500 for the reel. Through my reading I'm thinking about using YSG-25,16,8L, then the rest LSG 4s. I need to use a tube size #6 on the tip top but can't find a #4 ring in that size. Does it matter if the ti

Last month I made a post looking for some feathers with purple in them. I'm happy to say that Karen at Siskiyou Aviary sent me some nice feathers that will work just fine for my feather inlay. If you have any feather needs thats the place to go. Thanks Karen.

That's interesting. They are in competition with they're own blank customers.

I looked at the instructions and then at the list of things that are included in the price and decided that what I'm doing is to simple and did not know how complicated placing guides on rods were. How happy I was. The old saying, "Ignorance is Bliss " comes into play the longer I live.

CTS makes blue rods. They are a high end rod blank so if price isn't an issue try them. I think Fishsticks to left side still might sell them.

When chromo seal came out Andy sent me a couple of sample bottles. He told me if you use Maderia thread, which I do, to use at least 3 coats because of the silicone on the thread. I haven't had any issues. I apply one coat and let it soak in and completely dry then the next coat and so on.

I have used Threadmaster CP a lot and haven't had any issues of it repelling the epoxy finish. Maybe I have missed it on this forum. I use 2 coats and let it dry at least 24hrs before putting on the finish.

I have used steelhead blanks for crappie fishing before but I not sure about trolling. I you want them 14 to 20 ft long you I don't know where to go, maybe CTS but you're going to pay a price.
