I'm sorry for not answering the rest of your question but went looking to see what instructions I got from Renzetti to see if they would help you but could not find them so I'll try to explain how I have mine set up. On your thread carriage you should have two small threaded eyes with nuts on them they go about the middle of the thread holder then there is a larger a larger eye that is threaded i

On the top and bottom of your thread carriage there are some black knobs that hold the threaded studs you can loosen those up and slide them back and forth to fit your spools but by doing this you most likely won't be able to load up all 8 places. Renzetti has kind of been lacking on the directions end of things.

I fabricate Corian counter tops and I would think it would make your handles a little heavy not to say anything about the expansion and contraction due to heat or cold. I just never thought about using Corian.

I thought you measured the face of the reel in mm then X 27 and converted that back to inches.

Thanks Terry. Is the flexcoat and threadmaster 50/50 that you use high build ? I have always used straight threadmaster high build for my inlays and have had pretty good results. I was hoping that I could glean some information from an expert. Thanks once again Terry

Does any body know what finish Terry Henson uses for his inlays ? If this is a trade secret or an inappropriate question sorry, don't answer. I'm trying to further my education a little bit. If you don't want to answer on the forum just send me an email. Thanks

I'm selling my Renzetti Lathe Accessories. This is everything needed to turn cork handles not included is a bed, knives. & mandrels. I have turned 4 freshwater handles with these items so they are slightly used. Before you say, "This is not the right place to post these items," I tried twice to post in the Buy/Sell but it wouldn't take. I'm just giving you guys a chance first befor

#40 polyester is what you're looking for. With Maderia use at least 2 coats of cp. Also remember that all those colors will darken one shade or two when you apply cp.I would suggest buying a color sample card and put a couple of coats of cp over the samples to see how dark they will turn. I have used Maderia for butt wraps and guides on freshwater rods I don't know about saltwater rods.

Call the people from where you got it from and check to make sure. I don't know wether your can still contact Andy Dear ( Lamar Fishing. on the left ) or not. He is the one that developed Chromaseal.

James, Ditto on what Mike wrote. I would use at least two good coats of CP if not three. Also keep in mind that CP is going to darken your thread by a shade or two. Using light thread over dark blanks is a pain in the butt for sure. To accomplish that I have put the guides on the rod and did a static test, then used a piece masking tape to tape off where I'm gong to start the wrap and a piece wh

Scott, You have to lightly sand the high spots down and then put another coat or two of finish on. Don't sand so far down as to get into your wrap. To keep things straight and level I use a sanding block with 400 grit sand paper. Also put masking tape in front of and back of your wrap to protect your rod from the sandpaper . Hope this helps.

I would use Lamar's Chromaseal. Some CPs will turn your thread several shades darker and almost black where you really can't tell what color you were using.

Matt, Go to Batson website and look at IST1084F or IST1085F . Both are Steelhead rods but are excellent rods for catfishing.

Ken, I take the top part of the rod supports off . I'm not too impressed with it. I do better with the old eyeball. It would be better if the laser had a lot finer line.

Jason, To late. I already bought a Jet. I'm going to use the second Renzettii that I use for cork turning to make my other lathe bed 12 ft. I will have a turning motor and some other accessories that I won't need.

I have two Renzettis. One for wrapping and the other for turning cork handles. If I had it to do all over again I would still have a Renzetti and a bigger jet lathe so I could turn not only cork handles but other stuff too. As far as the laser for aligning is concerned save your money. It might help some but it didn't do anything for me. I never have owned anything else so all I can tell you is y
