some thing different ??? try a spiral wrap it is just what you need on a trolling rod , the rod in the holder it will not want to roll nearly as much with the spiral wrap , I think , could be wrong

no problem , I would not apply Flex coat to your wraps till warmed up , out side of that , no problem , just kidding go to it , warm up before building , I think

Roger I don't under stand when I started, I was showed that if the epoxy had some bubbles on or in it, an you put one or two drops on the mixed epoxy , one will do all the bubbles go to the side an pop, never tried acetone , the DNA. just caused a temp. change to the top of the mixture , I never did mix it in just applied it went on fine . just let the DNA. evaporate , what is the short comi

after mixing your epoxy let set 30 sec, then drop one or two drops of DNA on top of epoxy , watch what happen's to the bubbles in the epoxy , don't mix after the DROPS just use , it works great for me , still a beginner learning

do let us know what you do on your build , it is your build an what goes is all up to you, an what you like , no 2 people will have the same answer for your problem , # 1 it is not there problem , # 2 the builder will use what ever they have on hand to finish the build an look good , as I see it ,

You could put a soft one that is wide under the dimple one , push it down wrap a 1/4 to 1/2 inch wrap to hold it down. if need be use D size thread , then epoxy over it all , job finished ,
