Don't change unless there is a problem that will tear your fly line , on a real fine ROD like that one, you are better off not touching the guides unless they missing or broken , as I see it

when you do apply epoxy to your build ,always put a test spot or 2 on something for your testing , to find out if it is hard or soft ., it will save your butt , no finger prints on your build , I think

I am not sure where or how the tip got broke ., but "you will have to move "" the guides a little bit, to line up the guides on the blank section , if it is real tight, I am not sure you will be able to line them up , with the use of D thread , it is a over kill , do rethink that a little bit "" A "" size will look 1000% on thin blanks , I think , c

Burl cork is a good cork to make grips from , 2 things to think about #1 it is cork granulated, glued together, works well in a grip , the color will not hold up an will fade over time # 2 if you build to last look at the rubberized rings for the first & last ring on the grip , will hold up a lot longer for the wear , [ I think ]

Note if you do make your own [ easy ] do use a rubberized ring on the last ring , will hold up a lot better than regular cork ring

A question is this your first try at a decal ?? when you do A decal it take's a few tries to get some thing to work for you , [ for me it did ] 2 things # 1 apply it fast , # 2 had to apply the length of the decal to get it to look smooth , FAST ? it means don't drag your feet , That is what worked for me
