I use the free samples from HITENA [ no the left ] there low LB test line is some of the thinnest you can find , if not the thinnest , clean it with a DNA bath before use , not sure on that they use on there line . if you use Elastic thread ?? it could / will leave FUZZES around when you cut it off , it did for me when I use it , [ still do use it some times] I just dampen it some before i cut , [ water ]

most tip sizes are the numbers over 64ths , ?? / 64 then do the math to get the mm numbers if needed for the tubs sizes , one inch = 2.54 cm.

Time is money look at all aspects of the repair an see what the cost is going to be , Norm & Roger do a lot of rods an they have the tools needed to do a good job , but as for me I don't have the tools or access to the tools . so I would look at a new blank or rod depending where your rod came from , $$$ how much you want to spend on doing the repair ,

I use thick rubber band an cut holes in it , than cut the band up in small sections , rubber bands [ thick ones ] off web , hole cutter, a good leather punch, it comes with about 6 different hole sizes, so i can do large blanks to small ones , it works foe me ,

This is your rod , you can use any thing you would like , use # 10 for a stripper an a # 6 single foot , then drop to # 2 single foot , to fill the rest, that would be the best as I see it , you can use any thing that looks good NOTE you could even use # 1 for the running ,

If you value your rod's you need a Hard tube to protect it , lots out there . there is one person in Col. that makes them as well , Mud hole can hook you up also , they farm them out to a rod case maker lot of sizes an a good unit , if you look around there are more do a search if you don't want to spend the money make a hard tube out of plastic water pipe , it is cheaper but a lot more weig

most of the suppliers don't work that way, even on a BACK ORDERS , they only charge when shipped , If you go to one of the large supply shops . an order a NFC blank I am not sure how it would work for you

If any guide is cracked at all it is time to R&R the guide , You can make it simple as measure the guide inside hole ,an order one from a local parts supplier on the left this web site , apply heat to old epoxy an scrape the old off, heat gun will work to soften so you can scrape it . use a popsicle stick , then wrap with a thread close the color , or strip it down [ every thing off an r

smallest can I found is a pint , can was about $13,00 spray cans are cheaper less rubber , BUT how much will you use before it drys up use spray can an paint the small part of reel seat with a small brush , [ just an idea ] never worked with it good luck spray can is about 1/2 the cost of a pint can ,
