There name is not doing well in the ROD supply ability , there customer service stinks, I hope it improves because there blanks are great as I see it , I don't know if Garry Loomas is still there but in the early day's he had his fingers in the rod blank building , I , believe [ A great rod blank person ]

NOTE there is a tool that will make wire ties tight it is sold at most electronic supply stores , a little costly , but not bad, I did not check Amazon or E bay , but it will make the tie wraps tight an take all the spaces out if the cork wedges , if you put a plastic shim in the center to help keep the ring of proper alinement a little smaller than 1/4 inch because of cutting loss cau

you can find the hard nails paint [ clear ] in most big BOX stores that sell finger nail coloring wife / girl friend or any women , will steer you to the correct place , I think

With Face Book an this web site it is easy, get a cheap blank for your first build an go from there , it is not hard , there is a get together soon, see if you can make it, lots of good info is given out at that time, see EXPO on the top in the left under sponsors , hope to see you there just remember the only dumb question is the one that is not asked , as I see it

They are not known for being fast, as I see it , if they said it has been shipped it will be just don't hold your breath , from the time it was shipped to the time it leaves there shop , can be a few day's

Look for a FIBER GLASS not carbon on the first rod , ?? the glass rod is more forgiving for a first rod [ harder ti break ] I think

when redoing old rods that is one of the pip falls on using old blanks , where time is money I will not re-guide an old blank for money , it just don't pay . to much time lost in LABOR , I think

Tom is correct, very hard to wrap the guide going down hill . Going up hill, the thread will stop the wrap from falling of the guide , try ir on a guide an see how it works , only takes a min . to set it up ,

DREMMEL tool an TAPE , make sure the tape is on tight, no matter what method you use to cut it off with always use tape & have it on tight , with a couple of wraps cheep insurance , I think

I have a question on GUIDES ????  as I have only been  building rods for about 9 years [ part time for my self & friends  [ no sales] ] why is it when I get a rod in for repair [ replace guides with  cracked frames ] , the bad frame's are normally in the bottom of the guide string , closes to the reel ?? any idea's out there  Thank for the replay 's

Use a ""'FOOT LONG LEVEL " an do the best you can , line every thing up to the center of the chick, {{ THE CENTER LINE OF CHUCK. ALSO HAS TO BE LEVEL "" , an it will be fine , if the center line of chuck an the center line of the BLANK are not the same the blank will walk out of the chuck , in the drying mode , [ rotating for a long time ] good luck on your proje

Make it fit Electrical tape an clamp it down it will hold , what was lost was the cost of the lathe , that was the selling point , of this unit , there a lot of LATHE's out there an it will cost a lot more , that unit will do a lot of grips , an the cost is cheep I think

I use a wooden chop stick from the local food store, the same as you just a wooden stick, use a section of thin rubber band to hold it in place , it is only a few wraps long , don't have to be that tight , as it is just for looks , in fact you don't have to have it at all , lot of builder don't do it , for the reason you don't like it ,

think of money spent go the cheapest way an if you don't like then up grade , it all depends on how much you want to spend , an how much room you have for your work space an $$ you want to spend , an how many rods you plan to do in a year ,

Have you tried the DVD that covers that volume ? I kow it will cost a little but it covers all of the VOLUME'S I think , have seen it listed on this web site
