Papilio inkjet paper is what ive used and had good results with it. It is not a print and apply though as you have to clear coat it first.

Hydro dipping is what they use to camo rifles and shotgun stocks and barrels for hunting, it kind of reminds me of a giant waterslide decal. The film floats on the surface of the water and as you submerge the item you want "painted" the film adheres to the surface. I vaguely remember the article but I think they showed dipping a blank as well as a reel seat. Google it and you will get a

Awesome guys, thanks for the info. I'll have to take a look at Lowe's and see if I can find a nicked counter top. I've already considered height and thats oneof the reasons why I'm redoing my bench.

I'm about to build myself a bigger wrapping bench and the top I was going to paint since it will be plywood. Just put the AmTak Virtus on a 7' Seeker Hercules, build it for wreck fishing. Fishing a Penn Senator 113 I went 25 on down and ran 10's to a 10 tip.

Any thoughts/concerns that you guys have found with this thread yet? Getting ready to put a big order in for it so it will be about a week before I have it in hand and can test it. Thanks.

9. Gudebroad???
Heard from a builder on a fishing forum that Gudebroad was going out of business. Anyone know if this is true? And if it is what other threads would you recommend since everyone will be eatting up the Gudebroad stock that dealers have left. I build saltwater rods only, spinning and trolling.
Thanks

Need some help in locating thread that is larger than size D. Visited a lot of the sponsers to the left and didn't see any. Looking for sizes E, EE or F for some heavier saltwater trolling rods. Thanks in advance for the help.

Just to let you guys know, you can pick up Madeira thread at any craft store that sells sewing thread. Here in MD I get it at Joanns.com. Usually on sale online but you have to pay for shipping. For me it's easier to just go to the store so I can see the colors in person.
