Just curious, what is the real difference in a spey conversion turned into a float rod or a blank designed specifically to be a float rod?? Is it length, power, lightness?

I have been building rods for over 15 yrs,so im not new to this great hobby. Im building a rod for a customer and my epoxy is not hardening. Ive been using the same brand epoxy for all this time. My first coat was dry, my second coat was dry ,my third thin coat is almost dry but kinda tacky. I measure everything perfectly, as I have always done. I am dumb founded over this. Can I put a thin coat

Building a rod for a customer. He gave me some pac bay dark navy blue size A nylon thread. I have been building rods for 15 years. I packed this thread tite, put 2 coats of cp on it ,let it dry over 12 hrs. Now I put my first coat of finish on the thread and some spots appear a little darker than the rest of the thread. Is this bad thread??? Never used pac bay before always Gudebrod or pro wrap.W
