Is there any reason to use a fast action over a Med Fast action on a flipping rod for distance or accuracy.

It will be used for other flipping and pitching but what the specs say and how these blank preform are two different things so would any of the two work for both flipping and pitching or are they both to heavy.

First clean the blank with a bit of DNA and then tape over sticker with clear scotch tape to protect it from the effects of the Permagloss. Once the tape is on you may want to wrap over the sticker with thread just to make sure that all the bubbles are out from under the tape. Remove the thread after about 5 minutes and then you can use Permagloss over it without any problems. Don't even worry ab

How much of a difference would it be between these two blank or would both be just about the same do to one of them being a Mod/fast action and the other being a fast action.

Casting rod and the guides need to be constantly adjusted in a stress test.

Just how does one adjust the guide's on a Rod if guide placement glue is used and the guides are glued in place.

I have heard so much stuff about seeing the spine but I have have always done it the old school way of finding the spine. I have a good idea of how one see's the spine on a Rod but what if the blank has two spins and both are strait, just how does one decide which one ro use if both are strait and the same.

You can heat the epoxy and peel it off or safer way is to shave the epoxy on the top of the foot going forward towards the foot and peel the epoxy off once the epoxy is trimmed off the top of the foot.

Finding the spline of a Rod is easy simply lay the butt of the blank on the ground and put your hand on the upper section of the blank and move you hand forward and you will feel a jump in the blank and this is the spine. There are some blanks that have a double spine and in that case just build on the biggest of the two spines on the Rod blank and building on the spine of a blank is the best way

All I ever do David is fill in the front of the tube with Rod Bond and clean any rod bond on the blank with DA and use a winding check in front of the reel seat to cover any openings just like a fore grip on a Rod.

Have not got to it yet because my brother used the one and only Rod tubing that I had to extend his own Rod the little sh_t but all I need to do is find a new extension that will fit over the end on the flipping stick or maybe I fill just cut down a old blank but as of today it is on hold for a bit.
Will post on YouTube and right here when done.

Ever see those exposed double reel seats with this blank exposed so you can wrap your fingers around the blank. To make one of these yourself with a standard triger seat ior exposed one just take your real seat and cut through it as close to the triger as you can. Next do the same thing at the front of the hood just leave about 1/4 of it in front of the hood so that reel foot of you reel can rest

Same idea as Tom posted as I just pull off the front cork grip and clean the blank up a bit and then take
a new fore grip and cut it in two down the center. All I do is glue the two parts together on the rod,let dry and put some shrink tubbing over the fire grip to hide any mistakes you my have on the rod.

What I was wanting to do is extend a 7.6 flipping stick to a 7.11 as I need the extra length for flipping but I need a collapsible rod for storage. I was thinking about how one would go about extending a basic rod. So anyways Mark what would you say to this, I can extend the rod like always only the exte

I want to extend a 7.6 Teloscopic flipping stick to a 7.10 and maybe even 8.ft so would extending it though the butt end by about 4 inch's hurt any,as this is not a normal thing to do to a flipping stick but I need more room.

180. Re: Epoxy cleaner
I used to clean all my brushes with DA but Not any more as I just toss the used one's in the trash as you can pick up a box of 50 at the craft store for only $5.00 so now I save on DA and time too.
