How much of a difference would it be between these two blank or would both be just about the same do to one of them being a Mod/fast action and the other being a fast action.
Bushido 7'8" | 12-25 lb. | 3/8 - 2 oz. | Fast Action | Extra Heavy Power | 1 Piece | 7.0 Tip | 0.525 Butt | Black Satin Finish --------------------------------------------------------------- Bushido 7'10" | 15-30 lb. | 1/2 - 3 oz. | Mod-Fast Action | Extra Heavy Power | 7.0 Tip | 0.655 Butt | Black Satin Finish Please give good imput on how close the performance would be between the two not just a response like one is 7'8 and one is 7'10 and what I am gunning for Glenn McMurrian Re: How much of a difference are these two blanks

Just from looking at the specs, I'd guess that the 7'10" model is a good deal beefier. The 7'8" model would be better for casting, if you're going to be doing any of that with it.

Glenn,
Based on my quick numbers The 7'10" should be 55% to 65% stiffer. Quite a substantial difference. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 04/17/2016 09:12AM by Eugene Moore. Re: How much of a difference are these two blanks

It will be used for other flipping and pitching but what the specs say and how these blank preform are two different things so would any of the two work for both flipping and pitching or are they both to heavy. Glenn McMurrian Re: How much of a difference are these two blanks

I've not used either blank, but You will have a better hook up to land ratio with the 7-11 moderate fast action over the other. Especially if you are planning to use it for punching or flipping heavier (bigger profile) baits and weights Re: How much of a difference are these two blanks

Good morning Glenn.... here are the two blanks you are wondering about on the deflection board..... this is with 9oz of weight on each.
[www.rodbuilding.org] You can see by looking at this that the 15-30 had more power but the 12-25 has a faster action.... please let me know if I can answer any questions about any AT products. You can reach me any of the following ways... _______________________________ God Bless, Don Morse 800-516-1750 ext. 1207 / don@americantackle.us Rod Building..... It's What We Do.
