Hello Mark.
I have done a lot of weird stuff on rods, once I took some fine cord (real fine-just larger than "E") and glued it on a blank into a pattern (like a rose) and then wrapped it with "A" or even silk thread.
The patterns are faint but they are there.
There are many things you can do using that basic technique, and there many off the wall techniques out there,

Hello Spincer.
My copy was published on 30 November 1977.
I use mostly Phenix blanks for ultra-light, but I mostly do saltwater rods and I use my ultra-light rods for catching bait from 3" glass minnows to 2-3 lb bluefish and anything in-between (like pinfish-small jacks...).
Good Luck.

127. Re: Epoxy Cracking
Hello Russ.
What size rollers did you use?
Are the rollers rated for 50#?
Did you stress the rod?
Sometimes if you have a heaver set of guides than your rod can handle the feet (which flex under heavy loads) wont flex and the epoxy cracks.
I sometimes grind the extra heavy guide feet a little if they look too beefy for the rod, but it's better to get the right rollers for the size

We have to count the tickets but it will be around the usual 3000. Saturday is the big day, Sunday sees much less traffic but often greater sales. There were 678 two-day tickets sold. Still have to count the one-day tickets but they are always the majority by a wide margin.

148. Re: Junk cork
Hello Alex.
I cut some cork grips off some rods I was changing over to EVA and took the cork and broke it down to very small (but not dust) pieces and mixed them with Tightbond III and some glitter, then packed it tightly into an empty paper towel roll, let it harden.
Once hardened peel off the tube and center-drill for a turning mandrel, mount in your rod lathe and turn with 120 grit to st
