Thanks, i have used the mudhole blanks and they work fine, wanted something lighter but still tough. I am starting to think to go back to a ST Croix in SC2 or 3, i know them and they are nice and available.

My buddy asked me to build a rod for his wife. Spinning, 6-3 to 6-6ft length med action 8 to 10# test , 1/4 to 5/8 oz lure.( she is 5 ft nothing and fishes from a boat). She throws worms and cranks and sometimes a bobber with crawlers or minnows, whatever will work. She fishes for bass, white bass, not a purist and just wants a bent rod. She is a klutz so it cannot be too brittle as she will

I now use the unsanded graphite blanks from Mudhole ( see sponsors on the left) for this purpose. Ask for ones under 6ft and save on shipping and get a variety of diameters/tapers. The dust given off mixed with the regular smegma found in any healthy ear and formed something that m

I have built several micro guide spinning rods now and i keep getting requests for more. For the smaller lines i am able to get away with 16 and 20's as a stripper, just bring it closer to the reelseat than standard 27x. I got 4 of those new Fuji VSS and noticed that the new VSS seat is real easy to cut away at and instead of mounting it parallel to the blank, I got to think maybe shim it to

Hi, my first post on the board and just wanted to say what works for me. I went to an apothecary shop and got some of those glass eye/nose medicine droppers from way back when.Washed them in Alch. I marked them so i can never mix them up and just keep using them: the gold topped one for resin the red for hardener. Used nail polish just below the rubber part that creates the vacuum. They can h
