Erik I bought a Bike Flag Whiprod: 6’x1/4” solid fiberglass rod at Wal-Mart I think it was under $8.00. I panted it black and cut it in section then made my color sticks. It is very durable and easy to work with. Lynn Owensboro KY

Paul I had a friend give me a Tibet Almond Stick about three years ago and it works very well. The Almond Stick is used on furniture but if you do an internet search on it you will see that it is used on lots of things like counter tops, glass, mirrors etc. Like Doc said use this product on a finished rod only. www.zcwinc.com/ Lynn

David I have been making this type of hook keeper for 5 or 6 years and what I use is the Jigging Spoon Form or CC-Form wire. You can make two hook keepers from one wire form. Once you get wire form the way you want, make sure you file or flatten the end where the thread starts on the keeper. I use a hammer to flatten each side then file or use a sharpening stone to clean up rough and shar

Jon I just moved from the Sacramento Valley in Northern California to Kentucky about nine mouths ago. Jim I have been using Fire Line for about 3 to 4 years and have not had any problem with the finish. I use 4lb to 8lb test Fire Line depending on thread size I’m wrapping with, and glue it to a Chartreuse “Lil’ Corky” bobber. They are easy to find on the workbench and are very light. Lynn Williams
