Chris. You are wrong on all accounts. I had a failure with a hot melt tip top adhesive and have since switched to 5minepoxy. I have used all that you mentioned with zero failures

Russell, I won’t post the manufacture but it is a WELL established company in the rod building world. I wish not to try and highlight a product of theirs. I am sure I probably did something wrong but regardless it didn’t work and I am now comfortable with using epoxy, while it may not be the preferred method for many it is what I have chosen to use. Best of luck in whichever direction you go with

Russ that is the exact reason I switched to 5 min epoxy. I lived in the Central Valley of California where an ambient temp of over 110 was common and had numerous failures so that was the cause of my changeover.

Kent, if it breaks heat it until it releases, keep the flame moving. Easy peasy

127. Quick hand rest
So I inadvertently placed a quick grip clamp on the edge of my bench (so I wouldn’t loose it during my project) and while doing some epoxy this morning, I discovered it makes a wonderful hand rest and is easily and quickly repositioned. Hope it helps some of y’all.

They are merely speculating they can’t apply the decals successfully....... I’ve done numerous decals on ribbed blanks with no base layer, meaning directly applying to bare blank. Stick it on slap on the finish and don’t look back

I understand that Fuji has discontinued the T FST tip top. I am looking for no larger than a size 5 ring. What is the recommended replacement? I am looking for an SIC insert with titanium color to match my titanium K frames.
Thanks

Keith are you using the finesse worm or the mag finesse worm? The mag finesse with a 1/4 oz head drops on the scale at 5/8 of an ounce. If the finesse I would look at the medium over the medium heavy. I haven’t used the 7’ers, I have only built on the 7’3”ers and longer. The medium heavy will certainly have more horsepower for bigger fish but the medium is VERY capable as well, I was boat flippin

144. UNC thread match
Did a search and came up with gudebrod NCP. light blue. This is for a UNC themed rod. I have the Fuji NCP but it seems a couple shades dark.
Thanks Tom

I think the MHXF is the more utilitarian of the two for bass fishing. Build it out with a titanium framed guide train and enjoy.

Ok just holding the blanks side by side on the floor with zero load other than gravity, the tip of the 736 flexes more( more along lines of extra fast as compared to the 725) (725 has the more traditional mag bass fast tip) these are just my opinion and certainly purely subjective. I think the 725 is actually the more powerful of the two. I will put on the board sometime today. Gotta get these b

I have a 725 and it is most definitely not a blank I would use for jerkbaits! I have to put it on the comparator to evaluate against the 736. My suspicion is that it is very close to the 736. I still have to get set up for ccs so that will have to wait a bit
