Your best avenue of approach is to talk directly with the manufacturer. As they developed the product the have the most expertise and experience with it. They are great people and will get you taken care of.

Make sure your room temp is 70-75. That will ensure you get optimal results.

REVCB70m is what I use for the small stuff especially the strike king 1.0. Is a great blank and I have boat flipped fished up to 5lbs..... would flip larger but I only run 10lb test on that setup.

Good afternoon all,
I am looking for some ccs numbers on the original blue Batson Eternity ETEC72M. I have a fellow looking to match his current blank. If there are any out there that someone would part with that would be fantastic. Price isn’t an object.
Any recommendations for a replacement if I am unable to find one of the blue ones?
Thanks
Tom

102. Match for 5C68MH-F
As the title says I am trying to come up with a close match for this blank. I tried the X-RAY SJ685 and it is much more powerful, I am thinking the SJ683 or possibly the Point Blank69MH or taking 3-4” off of a pb70mh.
Anyone have any experience with these or a comparison?
Thanks
Tom

Robert, to address your questions, I honestly feel all of you concerns are of NO concern. I’ve not had a single issue with it whatsoever. It has NOT become brittle or otherwise broken down in any form or fashion. I am not sure what you are after regarding longevity. I have had rods built with it on the water every week since the middle of February and have experienced ZERO issues.

For 3/8 I’d use the 731 mxf Point Blank it will handle the half ounce as well but the 1/2 & 3/4 sit better in the wheelhouse of the 731 mh.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Aaron @ Point Blank. I had something I needed to speak to them about and it was handled with superb class! They went WELL ABOVE anything I could have asked for.
If you are in the bass game and are looking for a TOP TIER blank you need look no further.
Thanks again Aaron!

Chris I am referring to your reference to 5 minute epoxies that I had a failure with..... the failure was with hot melt. “Well that makes it pretty easy to figure out , it's either Flex Coat 5 minute epoxy, Devcon 5 minute epoxy, ProGlue 5 minute epoxy, ProPaste fast set epoxy or Threadmaster Optimum 5 minute epoxy. “
NONE of these have ever failed it was HOT MELT that failed

Michael if you want it thinner warm it up and apply quickly

Chris. You are wrong on all accounts. I had a failure with a hot melt tip top adhesive and have since switched to 5minepoxy. I have used all that you mentioned with zero failures

Russell, I won’t post the manufacture but it is a WELL established company in the rod building world. I wish not to try and highlight a product of theirs. I am sure I probably did something wrong but regardless it didn’t work and I am now comfortable with using epoxy, while it may not be the preferred method for many it is what I have chosen to use. Best of luck in whichever direction you go with
