I just recently bought several 100yd. spools of Gudebrod 602 in size A at a local fly fishing shop. I think there were 1 or 2 spools left on the rack. It is a different shade of "gray" - with a very subtle brown tint to it. 602 is not in any recent Gudebrod catalogs or rodbuilding supply catalogs. They must not be making it anymore (that's why I bought it). I could swing by and grab it

I fish the Susquehanna and the Juniata rivers regularly for smallmouth bass. I have a whole bunch of rods I use, several of which I have built. I find that my favorites are 6'6" one piece medium light (6-10# line rating) or medium (6-12# line rating). I seem to like IM6 blanks - they seem to be pretty tough blanks for pulling snagged jigs from the rocks. Also rods built on this style blank c

I can't seem to come up with any info on the western Pa. show that has in the past been mentioned on this forum. The "flyfishingshow" website does not list one. I sent for a brochure on a Ft. Washington show but this one turns out to be in the Philadelphia area and does not show much promise for rodbuilders. Does anyone have any solid info for the western Pa. show??? Rog
