This is a hand carved cherry wood grip that supposedly was presented to Dale P. Clemens by the Fuji Corp. back in the 70's or 80's. If anyone has seen this grip before or can provide any info. Please contact me.

I simple transfer station for making little spools from big ones. My Dad did this from stuff he had on hand in his home shop. Not pretty but works great and don't clog up his wrapper with set-up & tear down.

Ronnie Young reminded me of the main reason I took up bilding rods again after a very long time off. Here it is! This young lady is only 6yrs old and she beat both her older brothers (14yrs & 16yrs old!) and everyone else to win the Auburn trout derby last April with an 8lb 4oz rainbow. I just finished building "her own" rod for her birthday which is next week. I should

This is an experiment wrap I tried just to see how the Throop/Colby method could be applied to a guide wrap. The "how to" explanation will be posted on the forum.

My first try at cutting & gluing up EVA sections and rings. I see I need to pay closer attention to making the rings equil widths! I had intended to inlay some light pink hearts into the darker pink sections of the grip but my practice inlays (see the red unmounted foregrip) were not so hot. Had nasty glue lines & the pink hearts are so thin it was to easy to sand to much.

Here is the weave pattern I just made earlier from the program by Owen Dare that is being Beta tested. The program creates a left list for you. I didn't check the left list just wrapped as written. Looks like I had one thread out of place. (probably my error and not the programs) I was in a hurry. Done with "A" Gudbrode HT 9000 gold and "B&

This is a small 38 X 43 silhouette pattern I made using a new weaving program under Beta testing. So far the program is pretty cool!

This is a work in progress. I'm thinking the fins should be an orangish color instead of the green it is now. Other than that it's just about done.

My dad Larry made this wrapper for a cousin who is about to build his first rod.
A simple design but works very well. He built one just like it for me when I started building again. I did however move the wingnut adjustments from underneath to on top though. No routing, planing, cut & sand the parts and assemble. Disassembles easily for transport too!

Base wrap = Gudebrod "A" HT blue & gold (no CP) and 2 coats finish
Overwrap = same blue HT and 1 coat finish

Base wrap is Anglers Warehouse size "B" green and white reg. nylon. Overwrap is Gudebrod "A" verigated light/dark green reg. nylon. From left to right, 1)basewrap w/finish 2)overwrap completed and spare removed,
3)top finish coat applied
I was disappointed with results until I made the mistake of NOT applying CP before the top coat of finish like I had intend

5 colors 4 layers. 7mm X 26mm
Design threads are size "A" and wrapping thread is "D" (all reg. nylon). This is my first attempt at weaving other than name lettering. A bit daunting to jump right in with a multi-layer color change but I just HAD to verify my pattern making abilities. I liked Billy's Evil bass so m
