Did a test wrap of a "Cool Parrot pattern I'm working on. Learned a few things like the peace sign necklace won't fly as it's just to small. The pattern is only 40 X 122. Also, it's a must to use a larger wrap thread. This was all size "A" have "D" black but no "C" and thought I could get away with "A". No go! parro

FishHawk red, garnet,& blue. Gudebrod glitzy gold all Size "D" This is the pattern test wrap and it came out great so I elected to keep for a display. The silhouette pattern may be a better way to go for this one. I'll have to wrap that one soon.

These were done on the white vinyl media. I like how the logo came out but I gotta not be so heavy handed with the finish. The name needs some attention. Printer is an HP Deskjet F4280 (all in one)

Some of you might reconize the grip work by Rich Gassman. This one of Juniper is very light and has a larger diameter that most cigar grips. Feathers are grizzly hackle & the wraps are Madeira blues.

The Great Golden Shark can only be found roaming off the coast of Woolly Bugger Island. This small island near Ireland is the home of Leprechauns. For thousands of years the leperchauns ahve been tossing golden coins to the Great White sharks that always harrass their fishing grounds hoping to appease the gods a get the sharks to leave them be. Been having a bit of a hard time lately with my weaving. Decided to go "back to basics" and re-read Jim Upton's book and watch Doc's DVD's for the umpteenth time too. This is one of Jim's patterns from his book "A Guide to Thread Weaving for the Custom Rod Builder" I call it Jolly Roger. This is only 28 threads X 3 layers and I still got a couple mistakes (bac

I don't know if you can tell the condition of the ENDS and the rest of the outer foil but considering this is 3/4 of the way thru a 121 turn weave and there is absolutely NO unraveling except for the very tips of some threads.
