This is the pattern in the RodMaker 13-6 issue except this one is done with FisHawk "Brillance" glow in the dark metallic for the design threads and "C" black wrap thread. On a black background the bat is the black wrap thread with the weave design threads creating the the area behind the bat (so to speak). Some refer to this as a reverse weave pattern. One

62 X 150 3 layers #326 red reg., #002 white NCP, green/black twist #8209 all Gudebrod size A with size C wrapping thread. The 8209 works great for fins but I now wish I would have added another color layer for the face of this characture sockeye. Oh well, there's always a next time!

My client's wife is a member of the US Army Signal Corps stationed overseas and is an avid basser. This rod is her coming home surprise! It's built on a North Fork Composites MB705-1 IM series blank with custom regular & red burl cork handle, Recoil RSGP guides with a Fuji Ti-Sic tip-top. Threadwork is an original "Signal Flags" cross-wrap with a weave of the Corps

The wrap pattern is my first 100% original cross-wrap and represents crossed Signal Flags. Threads are Gudebrod Black "A" & NCP White "A" with Madiera poly-neon #1947 and FishHawk metallic G2 gold. After completing the wrap I put the sequence into Visual Wrap. I wanted to see how it would look using a simpler wrapping sequence using bands instead of

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's been a while since I've done much thread work other than weaves so I fingered I should brush up. A client asked If I could do something special on a rod for his wife who is in the Army Signal Corps and is overseas. I'll be doing a weave of the Corps emblem and I had an idea for a crosswrap along the same
