warm water, Dawn soap , scrubber , do a couple of times , it will clean up , but it is a pain in the butt , no matter how you do it , [ PS I use a old tooth brush ]

A question to go with shrink tube question ?? Dz the MFG of the tubing but on the in side of tube a glue ? I read some where the place in NH. that makes a lot of the tubing puts a glue on the inside of it , an when heated it is activated an DZ a great job in holding it in place ,could be wrong , just asking ?

next time when getting a blank an guides ask them to make sure the tip top fits , most places will do it for you at no cost [ They have dun it foe me , like you I just build a few rods per year
don't keep a stock on hand , only order what I need ,

I am not sure but on long grips you only sand [ shape ] a small section at a time about 2 inch wide at any one time at least I do it that way As I see it, could be wrong ,

If you have ordered it an has been shipped ?, because of the shipping $$ is a lot for over sea's , so if you order a 220 V AC 50 HZ at 24 V, DC. If you do a wax job on your RODS an keep it up you will find out that the ROD will last longer as you are keeping all the water an crap out of the cracks,
that we all get on our rods from use . how long not sure but it still looks good after a few years of use ,

RENAISSANCE WAX is the best, to wax the finished rod with , as stated it is a paste , little goes a long long way's ,

It all sounds great to me what I do is a little more, I put Masking tape on threaded rod first before I put my wax on ,
use Bee's wax , ;STICKY] , it is just I had one stick once [ lost grip ] the same but a little different , MY 2 CTS it all works for the most part ,

If it is not hard it is the MIX not 50 :: 50 by volume, recheck your mixing amounts as you are having problems , or get a new batch from your supplier , even when old it still works ,

glue for cork GRIPS ? use Tight bond 111 , EPOXY is not the best for CORK grips , leaves ridges in the grip ,

The problem I found is the dark Blue / Black dz wears off in time then you have black frames with bright metal showing so I just stick with bare metal just a TIDBIT., [ wear's off by line rub ]

most if not all new blanks are reinforced at the FERRULES , saying that I am not sure if the blank I am using is new or old ??
so I still wrap all my ferrules . hard to break a old dog of old tricks an it don't hurt a thing an it makes me feel better , my 2 cts. ,
