Hey guys,
long time no post. I'm looking to acquire several glass fly rod blanks from CTS. Can anyone help me locate these in the USA, or do I have to go direct?

Thanks guys. Although I've done more than my fair share of muskie fishing, I've lost touch a bit since I've been addicted to the fly. Keep the suggestions rolling however.....

Hey,
Just wondering what blank you found that weighs 1.31oz?
Thanks
Even the Orvis Helios weighs in at 1.5 oz.

I think you will find the Xi3, has a little faster recovery than the MHX blanks. A tad more responsive.

I have to suspect that the builder only market is dominated by lower priced/end blanks for a reason. Lets face it the common business model for builder blanks is one that allows your average hobbiest to build MULTIPLE rods and enjoy the hobby of simply building rods for friends and family that are pretty good bang for the buck. Most customers that go to "professional" builders for "

This post is only directed to heavier rods like 8wts and up, and is just a rant,,,take it for what it is...no more no less.
-Its amazing how much you can like a rod when casting with no comparison to base it against. But take several rods out at the same time and the differences are amplified significantly to the point where you notice huge differences in performance qualities.-

Never said you were wrong either. Just pointing out that in the super competive world of distance fly rod castng and production rods, none have made the transition to single foots, or ceramics for that matter..

I wonder why guys (ie. Steve Rajeff,Ruairi Costello) going for world class distance records never made the move to single foots? In a competitive world of that nature I am sure the transition would have been made by now if it helped gain even a couple feet.

A little trick of mine for getting rid of the bubbles: After you pour you mixed contents onto the foil simply exhale your hot breath over the epoxi once or twice. Vuala!! No more bubbles!!

Dr. Hannemans own words:
"A rod’s ERN is a measure of the force required to load,
but not overload, that rod. An average rod designed for a
No. 6 fly line should exhibit an ERN value of 6.5. The force
required to load a rod defines its weight designation. If
the ERN of a rod is less than 6.00 or greater than 6.99, it
cannot be called a 6-weight rod.
Although all of the the rods in
