Trimmed out with 2.5 inch moulding. Total install time was 2 hours. The flooring is a very cheap fix for a worn work surface.

I wanted to update my benchtop with a lighter color. After a short search, I decided on using a thin laminate flooring. Very little cutting was needed and was a quick install.

Finally took the time to build a sturdy work bench. The work bench is 2 ft. wide and 16 ft. long. Also working on lighting and a few shelves.

The black wheels are the prototypes I started with...made out of 1/4 inch Lexan.

The wheels are 2 inches in diameter and 1/4 inch wide with a ball bearing for easy rotation. They were machined out of flat stock.

I fill the space between the hoods with cork tape turned sideways and trimmed to fit..held in place with contact cement. The blank under the tape fore grip is built up to make the tape even with the end of the reel seat..results in a very comfortable seat.

I painted the Fuji seat and the side plates on the reel to match each other...top coated with spar urethane. Paint job is around 5 years old.

I attached a old fly vise to the center shaft of my homemade dryer. It works great for smoothing the finish on flys or lures.
