<p>Trim wrap has been extended up, and onto, the metal tip-top tube locking it in place. Without color preserver, it is easy to see just how much of the tube has been wrapped.</p>

<p>Last night I decided to try my hand at marbling. First I mixed WAY too much pigment. Next I made the mistake of brushing the colors out, instead of letting them do their thing. Third time was the charm.</p>

What type of ring is this Fuji? The frame is satin-gray.

Possibly a Hardloy? I know they come in black and shiny silver frames, but satin-gray...has anybody seen one like this before?

Here are the two gold metallics in question which I tested. One coat of color preserver for the two wraps on the left, no color preserver for the two on the right...Thin coat of finish, no flaming, and yet these waves still showed up.

This was going to be an under-wrap. Almost looks like too much finish was applied, but like mentioned in my forum thread....Finish was applied thin and allowed to saturate...I also stopped the motor to wick off any excess finish. In further tests these waves and wrinkles would show up within minutes and only get worse....no matter how much finish was removed.

Hello, When you say "indentation", I take it you are referring to the edge of the wrap not being perfectly straight? i.e. the edge is pushed in a bit, at the point where the tag end was pulled through. If so, you might try using a smooth cylindrical burnishing tool to gently roll out (not rub) the wrap, in the direction it needs to go. Pinching down the wrap and pulling the tag en
