When I started this pattern I mis-judged the pattern layout spacing, leaving me with a gap to fill....so I did with red enamal paint and a white press on dot. Whole wrap covered with 5 thin layers of Flex coat lite.

I use it for ALL my reel seats! NEVER had a problem. I have no patience to wait around for a reel seat to cure! You just have to make sure everything is in place before you start. That means cleanup supplys-EVERYTHING. Make a dry fit first to make sure you get no suprises ;^) Once you start there's no going back- you can't make mistakes.

I guess i'll be the fly in the ointment.......! I ONLY use NCP. I LOVE the way it looks-kinda like enamel. I HATE CP- NEVER use it! I find that if you use NCP mixing in matching metallics throughout or, use subtle colour variations within one colour, you can get a very RICH & Vibrant look- and see the thread. BUT you will have to lay down one thread at a time. None of the people that ha

OK.....I do 8 to 10 repeats on 11' lamiglas graphite surf rods (fat) that works out to be about 18 or so inches in front of the foregrip, longer if I wrap multiple patterns. As far as patterns...I'm working my way through Dale's book, skipping around, and sometimes altering the pattern with thread colour.

Cliff: "I know the allure of the Metallic Blue color put you over the edge, and robbed you of all reason(s for not getting it)." Read me like an open book! ;^) I wanted (but wasn't going to get) the slightly heavier blank listed just below, with a line weight of 50lb . However, when I read those words "metallic blue" I must of had a brain seizuer or something cause , the nex

I decided I couldn't resist and took advantage of the Blank Liquidation sale at Mudhole.... I picked up a Lami saltwater CGX8XH 6'6" 1 piece with a line weight of 40lbs. I guess this blank is a composite of graphite and fiberglass.....if I'm wrong let me know! Does anyone know how this blank was ment to be used ? Would it make a decent porgy and or blackfish rod for a boat? I've only bu
