Heelo to all,
My Brother in law would like me to build him a yellow spinning rod. What he is looking for is two piece or one medium action fresh water. Any help on locating or is it possible to paint a blank ?

362. finish on blanks
I stripped the finish off of a blank and sanded the whole blank with six hundred grit sandpaper. I was wondering do i have to put a finish on the blank or can i leave it bare. It kinda looks like the IMX, glx Loomis Blanks. Are the loomis blanks bare graphite? Thanks

Gents I was looking at The Mudhole Site at the Outcast blanks and thought too bad an individual builder can't finish a blank like that. Then it occurred to me that maybe a builder could do it. DuPont Chromallusion Paint. I called a Dupont guy I know and asked him about painting and clearcoating a rod blank and how much flex the paint and clear coat will take and how it would hold up to sun/sand/

364. Un -panted blanks
I just got some unpanted blanks in. What can of paint do I use and is there anything I should put over the blank after I paint it before building the rod. Where will I be able to get these items.

I have a set of blanks that I want to refinish in a different color. I understand that I can lightly sand and then paint and then cover with some type of clear coat. Fine. But I wonder if this can be done in one step.
Here's my idea - Why not take some sort of colored pigment and mix it into the varithane or urethane or whatever and just apply that. I would think this would be fine unless th
