My luck with Permagloss never did change and I live in Oregon and the weather is perfect for Permagloss to dry in as it is humid and rainy just about everyday so why it does not want to dry is beyond me. I have used at least 8 different bottle and from other sellers with the same bad luck ever time I try. Lynn if you remember back in the 80’s there was a article in the rod builders guild on Perm

Never re-coat over a tacky finish as the second coat will dry soft and tacky also.

I find it easiest to just line my wraps up by eye and make my final adjustment with a simple grip and twist of the wrap and all Get’s lined perfectly a and it does not hurt the wrap.

Is there any other cleaner that will clean Perma Gloss off of brushes other then the cleaner that Perma Gloss sells. I have tried everything from 100% D A to epoxy cleaner and everything but the Puma Gross cleaner seem to leave a tacky residue on the brush.

I take the measurements from the back at where the reel sear bumps up to your handle since the widest suction of the blank is at that point of a blank.

To stop any un wanted effects on my decals I always place a piece of clear scotch tape over my decals before Applying any finish and once it is dry the tape will be invisible and you will get a perfect looking decal on your rod with no ink runs or bad effects at all.

So Tom do you have any tips on how to get Permagloss to dry faster because I remember Permagloss drying super fast hard but for some reason mine will not and I have ordered new stuff from both Mud Hole and Acid Rod and I still have this problem and I live in Oregon so would think that moisture in the air would be no problem so do you have any idea of what might be wrong.

Like Grant Says even a 220 grit will work as the new epoxy will fill in any ruff scratches just be sure to clean and wipe your job down before putting on the new epoxy and all will be good.
