This was a strip and rebuild on a CUI blank...I had an extra ACS reel seat that was a bit too big,so I fill the exposed area with a tiger wrap..Shaved the threads down ,inlaid eva grips,and a tiger wrap using spring green and purple. I also made this into a micro spiral wrap...Incredible difference in weight and performance!

Maderia drk red,red-orange,and gudebrod orange....Tried a simple fade with it...Im very pleased with the out come...Not perfect and could maybe used a bit more contrast,but then the picture doesnt do it enough justice.

Did a little experiment with some regular nylon gunmetal thread and CP ..Could be a neat effect to play with..

This was my first customer's rod...He was extremely pleased..So was I...This was a 7'10 Rainshadow RX7cut down to 7'6''..,Fugi ACS seat,Alconite guides. My toughest build to date given the blank diameter.

With a hair dryer your not gonna over heat the blank..A heat gun yes,but Im pretty sure not many Hair dryers go beyond 140 degrees. Boiling water is around 200+ I use both a hair dryer and heat gun (on low),with a plastic picnic knife or thumbnail...Havent tried boiling water.
