I was asked to replace the guide by a tackle store instead of going through all the return shipping charges on a 100 dollar rod. I don't have the rod in hand but I could get some numbers if you wish Alex. Looks like I will be telling the owner of the store to SEND IT BACK.

Does anyone have any idea who is the supplier of the guides for the Abu Garcia Veritas rods. They are Ti alloy with SIC rings but they seem to be thin rings?

I like the 10 min rod bond or threadmaster or probond as you glue up a rod, Then wrap another rod. By the time you have wrapped the second rod the first rod is ready to wrap. There will always be a bit left on your tinfoil sheet. Use that as a test piece to see if it is set yet.

I would say that it is mostly fresh water stuff in comparison to the Salt. Each dealer will bring the whole deal out so there will be as much fresh as salt shown. I don't think you could handle as many fresh water blanks as there will be there in the 3 days.

Does anyone know if Les is still around? His web site is gone and I was looking for an insert for an A8 fly seat. Does anyone of the sponsors offer inserts for an A8 seat in Black Hardware?

If you have an wholesale account with them it is the rate they charge for shipping. I guess you did not check off any of the other methods of shipping available.

Does the wrap have CP on it? One of th erods I did use CP on i have the same problem I think there was cp extended beyond where the Glass Coat went. When the CP wore off of the blank it caused a slight crack which allows moisture to get underneath the epoxy

Hi I remember seeing an ad for a Z shaped handle or rear grip for people with arthritis in their wrists. Does anyone remember where or which sponsors has them?

I have been having a problem getting my magazines. I have missed the past 3 issues. I have tried to contact Customtackle.com to rectify this or to see if they were out of biziness but to no avail. Has anyone else had trouble getting their magazines or making contact with Custom tackle? I have sent them 3 emails and a phone call still no answer.

Beg your pardon but how does putting CP on hold guides before wrapping? What would move and if a guide did move you align before epoxy anyways. Just do not see any reason to put Cp on NCP thread. just a waste of time and of money to me. Maybe I am different then you ?

Why would you put CP on NCp thread. Thats why you bought NCP in the first place.

All the folks at Mudhole treat everyone with great service. They go out of their way to make sure it's right or they will fix it.

American Tackle no longer has a supplier for these handle systems. I am looking for 2 of the 14" black spinning kits if any of the suppliers have one in their stock or if anyone has one in their shop. Please let me know. I will be posting this in the buy/sell page also.

It would be nice to have a wholesale/ dealer here in Canada. Sure would cut down on the shipping and duty charges.

First off what type of fish are you using these rods for? If you are talking about blue gills and perch or maybe little walleye I would agree with Roger. But if you are after large lakers or large walleye in the 6-15 lbs range then I would be going to a hollow graphite instead . The rods I build are 30 to 36" long.

What style and type of guides do you Salt guys recommend for a spinning rod used for Strippers off of a private boat. Having never fished in the ocean I have no idea.

To any angler fishing bass tournaments the rod is nothing but a tool. Replacing the rod is nothing but a cost of competitive fishing as is Senko's, line etc. Just replace the rod and be happy.

HI I am looking for a recommendation for a blank similar to the 4M86HF blank from St Croix. Has anyone used the Rainshadow lineup for this application? What about a swimbait rod that 8'6" in length that can throw 6-8 oz sling blades.
