272. Re: Noodle Rod
You sure you want a noodle rod??? Very soft action and hard to bring in a salmon on that rod. Maybe a float rod?

You will have a very hard time finding a place to order Glass Coat from. I think it went the way of the Dodo Bird.

Why not use a micro guide for the tip?? I noticed a tip top in the picture. What size for that rod?? Did you use 3.5's all the way or is your butt guide a different size as per Steve Gardner? Also who's blank is that as I did not see it on your web page.

Do you follow Alex's idea of using a 6 and then a 4 then 3's all the way out or do you use 3's all the way?
Do you go ALL ON TOP or a spiral?

Was that Celcius or was it Farenheit. I know it was cold either way. Good thing it was a fly rod instead of a lure with a minnow. The minnow would have turned into a POPscile pretty fast

For the first rod. Place the butt end of blank on your elbow. Now grab hold of the blank and where your pinky is should be the top of the reel seat. Use a size 17 spinning seat. Place reel seat there and measure to the butt. It will be aprox 9" So if you get a 9" rear grip and a 17 reel seat with a 7" fore grip ( I take a 7" rear grip and cut off the tenenon and reverse it so

284. Re: Weighting a Rod
When the lure is close to the tip the rod will be out of balance and as soon as the lure is in the water being worked back to the boat it too will cause the rod to be out of balance so I do not see any point in adding weight to the rod. You will never hit a point where it balances out and is being used to fish.
The angler will still have to "carry" the load or weight of the rod for th

I also use USPS for everything that can be put in a small box but for rod blanks you got no choice.
This is the first time in 8 years that this has occured and I am still very upset.

With the expense of the shipping and fed ex's brokerage fees plus the collection of taxes to Canada which I then have to get back in a rebate it is easier to ship to Michigan and broker in there where he has my Tax numbers and he doesn't charge me any fees.
It once cost me 45 bucks fees for a 45 dollar blank. Hard to make money that way.
It was just a heads up to others who ship items toget

Folks
Just for your info, just got off the phone with the claims dept of Purolator and found out my claim was denied.
I was sent a box from Mud hole via Michigan through my Brother in law, he is my customs broker, in a box that was complete. He forwarded it to me using Purolator and when it arrived here it was taped together and bent at the 18" mark. Sure enough the rod blank that was i
