I usually start with a 20 or 16 Minima 4 with a 2500/3000 Shimano Stradic & Sufix 832 braid. I tend to move it around a little to find the sweet spot.
If you're using mono or flurocarbon, you'll need something bigger.

I doubt they'll be there but you never really know.

I'd stick with the P842. The tip is slightly more forgiving (softer) for lighter baits and more power in the butt section.

Yes, they are much more sensitive than the original series.
I've built quite a few of them and have been very impressed, as have my customers.

Anywhere will work,, just not on the top. Try not to overthink it, it's a fishing rod, not a space shuttle.

In your shoes, I'd probably call Todd V. at Mudhole. He probably designed that blank & they have a ton of lamiglass blanks in stock & can walk you right through the component process to get you exactly what you need.

If a buck here or there is keeping you out of the soup line, you've got bigger problems than foam arbors.
Quick, quality, price you can only have 2 pick wisely and live the with results.

Provided you didn't get into the thread, a second coat will shine it up & look like it never happened.

I've always used either Am. Tack Nanolite or Fuji Alconite guides and have been happy with them. However, I recently wrapped my first set of Pac Bay Minimas and they look & feel up to the task of my inshore rods.

Dumb idea here but why not contact one the manufacturers and ask them? I'd bet that they have this information and would probably share it with you.

I had some issues with it so I made the swap to Thread Master and Prokote. I've been very pleased with their performance and don't see myself changing again.

I started with Flex Coat High Build and then made the switch to the Lite formula. I read some many good reviews on Thread Master Lite that I gave it shot and was amazed at how much better I liked the results.
I still use TM Lite most of the time but have been using ProKote a little lately and might be making another switch. It levels nicely, is clear and has a super pot life. Plus as a "me

Ever heard the old saying, "Sometimes, it's the Indian not the arrow"?
Try releasing the lure a little quicker, that'll solve your issue.

Generally speaking, you can pack the same amount of line on either style reel, of the same size of course, but have less weight and a better fit if you palm your reels. The breaking syste
