Thanks Tom, I was affraid of that. This is the first time I've seen a fly rod of this nature. My first thought was it must take two men and a boy to fish with it. My second thought was it would make a good gigging pole for frogs. My search goes on?? <<<<DON>>>>

Hi All: There was a topic on Helmsman Spar Urethane a while back. It was stated that it is mild and dries very hard. That's recommended for marine use. My question is and maybe off topic ( sorry ) , I just repainted my boat motor and was wondering can it be used as a clear top coat??
Thanks in advance for replies. <<<<DON>>>>

I have the Grizzly Hobby lathe.Have had it for about as long as Mike Barkley, for he is the one who put me unto it. I use it for cork, eva, and reel seat harbors. It has served me well for a hobby builder. Have mine mounted on a 4'x1"x 6" with a on/off switch.I do all my turning out doors,so I don't have the dust around my work area. Have not heard why Grizzly don't handle the drill for

Billy, I can enlarge a photo on the photo page to 150% by going to the lower right hand corner of my computer screen and hit the plus symbol.
Don't know if all computers have it ? I use Windows.

I was asked to replace all guide wrapps due to cracks and water damage on a short stand up boat rod..When I removed the first guide, the finish came off fairly easy, with a little heat from my blow dryer. The hard part was trying to get the finish off the under wrap,It was hard as nails, and would not soften up with a little heat from my blow dryer. I had to chip and peck at it until I got it off.

Chack out the Eco Wrapper, it's tops for sure. A well planed out hand wrapper. Check out the vidios at The Rod Shop sponsor to the left. Very well done.
I have eliminated all my back pain I use to get from hand wrapping with my other hand wrapper. Good luck with your decision.

Good evening all. My ex-boss is calling in on one of his markers. Stopped down to the shop to see the old gang and to borrow a hoist to put my motor back onto my boat. Everytime I need something and take it back I ask what the charges are and my old boss would always say no charge. He would also say someday I'll need you to do a repair on one of my rods.Well today was the day.
He handed me a 7'

I just posted a picture on tools and equipment on the photp page, of two scrappers that I use to remove the finish down to bare blank. You don't have to worry about cutting into the blank, like you can with a razor. With this tool it don't take long at all to remove the finish.( I do use eye protection ) when useing this tool. Be safe than sorry.
