251. GRIP PROFILER
This is the approach I use to create the proper profile when turning grips. It is band sawed to the grip style shape and has 80 grit sandpaper contact cemented to the cutting surface.
I have one for each style of fly rod grips.
It works on both cork and grips made using other materials like: woods, acrylics, etc.
After the profiling, I finish with ever increasing grits to 400.
