This type of blank is typically referred to in Italy as a Bolognese rod or Bolo. They are still very popular there also except that they utilize the Match guides and affix one at the female joint of each section and do use a reel on them. they are very interesting, I was considering one of the 5 meter ones for inshore fishing out of my kayak. On that one the butt is only about 3/4" OD.

Bartosz, I personally feel that the SWB956-Blend would be the best option for your application. While similar to a Mag Bass in action it is a little heavier wall and will flex a bit deeper for the trolling application than the MB.

Jon, the newest version of this wrapper is slotted across the top so that the thread carriage and tension device slides back and forth. This way you can move it over to either side and wrap just an inch inside the arm. Todd

Mark, the best thing to do is to put together a list and email it to me and we can work it out from there. As weight does play into the shipping cost it isn't just a matter of filling a box.

Zack, we have a new part "IRHT-10" which is a 10" carbon tube 0.250" OD X 0.200" ID. We have had these made for mounting your handle parts on then securing directly to the Ice Blank. These currently aren't on the website but should be up in the next couple of days.

Terry, I did that show in 2005 or 2006 when I was still with Lamiglas. It was a great show and at the time there were a couple of builders with tables or booths. You really do need to have a variety of product for the fisheries in the area. Whether it's a 6'6" 2wt for the Metolius or Spey & Switch for the Sandy, Clack & Deschutes. Also, the 9' 5wt. is a staple, most everyone doesn't

Adam, I got the other evaluation from one of the guys that did the testing on the prototypes. Todd The new MHX 11 wt 1 piece blank is outstanding. I fished it in the Keys and landed Tarpon up to 130 lbs. and it performed flawlessly. It is a great casting rod as well as a very strong fish fighting tool. I used a straight 60 lb leader ( no test section) so I could apply as much pressure a

Marnie, While there are a lot of extremely talented builders on the West Coast I'm don't currently know of any Gatherings or Shows in that neck of the woods scheduled for this year. It sounds like you need to schedule a trip to either the ICRBE or one of the NERBS Gatherings. Todd

Adam, here is one I received from a customer that I assisted in setting up his rod. MHX 11 wt (1 Piece Blank) Review Todd, Thanks for the call asking about the performance of the MHX 11 wt fly rod that you and Gary helped me build summer of 2011. As I shared with you via phone, I had short Tarpon season in 2011. I only had one trip to Tampa Bay to fish the MHX and the Tarpon did not

Ken, Lamiglas used to (and still may) build a production rod from the FL904. This was a very popular Kokanee rod in S. Oregon and N. California.

Jeremy, I'm sorry I got a bit ahead of myself there it is still in the prototype stage and being tested. (the HM-MB842). The HM-SJ843-MHX would be very close with a slightly different tip.

Milt, I think you are a bit confused about the warranty. First of all, they ask for two 4" pieces on each side of the break. $1.92 to ship them to the manufacturer. 2nd, there is a $15.00 fee that is used for return shipping and handling (which is far less than actual shipping on longer 1pc. blanks). Any manufacturer is going to want to inspect the blank / rod failure and I don't see how $1

It sounds like maybe too much finish. But what I'd recommend trying is after mixing let it stand in a tin for 10 - 12 minutes before applying.

Tom is correct, this is not the optimum fix. While I have fixed hundreds of these in the past I also knew where the arbors were located under the seat. I personally would sacrifice the foregrip and fix put either the existing one back on or a new one in its place. Todd
