99. Re: Blank help
Brett,
I'd recommend you take a look at the SW MHX line. Models in the 8', 8'6" & 9' that will fit your bill.

No, you are looking for something more like a heavier swim bait type blank. If you don't mind my recommendations check out the SWB956-MHX for that 1-5 oz. back bouncing or the SWB967-MHX for the 3-8 oz. range.
regards,
Todd

103. Re: cleaning a blank
I have to agree with James, the Mr. Clean erasers are amazing. I use them regularly on my boat deck to remove marks that won't come off otherwise. Be careful with the Acetone on older glass blanks as the resin system may not tolerate that very well.

Craig,
I would also recommend a HM-P903-MHX for the applications you specified. Faster more sensitive tip than the HS models.

Mick,
I have found that with the regular pro kote that it is too thin when initially mixed to apply directly to a decal area. I generally let it stand for 10 - 15 minutes after mixing to avoid this issue.

Mike,
I have been eye balling mixing this stuff for years with no issues. it isn't nearly as sensitive as the liquids.

114. Re: Burnishing tool?
For years I used handles off of 1/4" paint brushes. The hard wood ones worked best, I would just sharpen them with a pencil sharpener and they worked excellent.
