Its amazing to me the rod building world has not perfected this yet. Such a simple thing yet this dilemma goes on. It seems crazy to me that we even have this problem.

274. Re: Spring wire
Does anyone fish here lol !?!?
Stainless steel leader wire, this is what you want! Its as close as the renzetti or clemens spring wire you are going to get how do I know? My bud has both machines and the wire in the store. His wire springs broke and we compared them and decided this was a perfect match and works well. Retails for like $3.99 we used number #14C model number is S14C-0

Wheels definately! The reason, if you build the machine well the wheels will lock the blank in keeping it from moving left and right. This will make for a great wrapper as everything will stay in alignment . The tread will stay in the right place at all times while wrapping. Mine is built so well I perfer not to use the motor to power wrap I rarely lock the blank into the chuck. Its just a joy to

See how much of a savings it is when your card board rod tube and its contents ends up crushed or bent in half. I'd say stick with the PVC.

If your using tiny single foot guides like i do often then one slip can knock the guide off just before you get it locked in. I was thinking about using flex coat or permagloss to postion the guides and do the final alignment and let it dry overnight. Then wrap the next without worry as guide willl be locked in super tight. This may save some time if you have giant finger syndrome.

Epps, didnt intend for it to sound like a an unfriendly post, picture me saying all this while smiling. I figured someone must have mentioned it by now but since it was never fixed I said something just incase it has gone unoticed.

For months now Ive been noticing that the link on their banner ad here goes to a dead page. You would think by now someone would fix the darn thing. I know we all know how to get to the renzetti site but geez...

I always thought those hurricane redbone rods were made in china cheapies, not sure if many here are going to own those if thats the case. You could try and compare with St. croix or Gloomis store bought rods they sell the blanks to many of their rods. This is a good way for a novice to be able to try out diffrent blanks locally without spending a penny.

I have this same motor, remember this thing is made in china and the price is really cheap. The first time I gave it a light workout it started having a problem where you would have to turn it ever so slightly to get it to start running.

i dont know if this will put damper on things but the center hole on those wheels is very small. As I recall the Futaba servos have a very small shaft also one other thing i recall the shaft is shaped like a gear and so is the inside of the hole so when mounted creates an interference fit. You might want to see if there are specs available for the Futaba servos that could tell you the diameter of

Can anyone recommend spatulas and bunishing tools. I did see the recent spatulas thread and aware of what was said there. I want these tools from one source if possible and I want the best. So im not buying tool after tool trying to figure out on my own whats good and whats not. With the expirence that exsists on this forum this should be a easy task for me to get it right the first time. right?

A good reel can actually help. I dont think anyone has mention this yet. The high end daiwa reels are all about line management they keep your line from laying onto the spool poorly and adding even more twist and there are other technologies in them to help keep twists down to a minimun etc etc. Im pretty sure your twisting is being caused by the type of lure and the reel not so much by the lure

Hmmmmm....
This was taken from this forum..
Emory,
I'd be interested in your answer to post #17, but let me jump ahead of the questions in #18 above. First off, I'd say that the concepts of both Mechanical Impedance and Resonant Frequency don't even apply very well to the case of the sensitivity of a fishing rod. The reason being, that the impedance and resonance are better applied

I understand the SB and SJ differences more now, thanks guys. I was hoping luck was on my side and someone here actually has or had their hands on both blanks. I see Spencer's post conflicts some what on which blank might be more powerful kinda confused now which is what?
Thanks again!

Hi all
Was wanting to know the differences between Batson's RX7 ISB783 and ISJ783. They both have the same power rating but was wondering if one really had less back bone than the other or other characteristics that make them different other than what the listed specs can tell me, If they are even acurate or not. Also one other important factor to me would be which of the two blanks balances b

Im building a flipping stick useing the rainshadow RX8+C865 the blank weight is 2.52oz. I weighed the components I will be putting on her with the blank it shoud all come out below 3.5 oz. that with the daiwa steez bait caster reel i use on it weights 5.5 oz. now weight his setup I think you would have the kistler beat.
