Add up all your supplies bought in a entire year and then look up the number of rods you built in that year and divide by that number for the average cost per rod for supplies ..

The Loomis blanks were still coming with a minor warranty which was a lower end Loomis rod if it broke from defect. There is something going around now saying that as of this month all warranties on Loomis blanks of any kind are DISCONTINUED. So if something goes wrong even if the blank has a defect you get nothing at all. Could be a good time to get a reduced price on a Loomis if you friend want

No one will say what a micro guide size is so no one can really know. But there was a post here before that said that anything size six or smaller qualified as a micro.

IMO only on heavy fish that go down deep and you need to winch them up. The retrieve is slow but powerful

I have used size 6 micros on many saltwater rods which should be similar in power to musky type rods. No problems as along as there were no knots to get thru..

I put saran wrap over the bottle before I screw on the lid. Seems to help out.

You can make your own reamers from old scrap rod pieces that have less taper. I wish the companies that make these would not put so much taper on them because it makes them harder to use and not get to much reaming on one end.

You cannot do it all at once, it takes several coat to get the PG up to the same level as epoxy..

They are saying now that some rod builders can get the Diamond II samples and others cannot get them. Depends on who you are.
