Hi Steve, If it is still soft enough, you may be able to remove most of the first coat with a rag and Epoxy/Laquer Thinner (wear rubber gloves). Otherwise a second coat of properly mixed over the first should work just fine. The secound coat should not be applied too thick, just enough to completely cover all of the first.

Something that works for us it to sharpen the handle end of a Flex Coat brush, either 1/8 or 1/4, in a pencil sharpener. Position the rod on it's side, dip the pointed end into your finish, and let a drop or 2 enter into the tunnel area. Start at the largest guide, end at the smallest, then rotate 180 and check, you will probably need another drop or 2 on the larger guides, then finish as usual

Hi Matt, We also fish Stripers with live bait and the spiral wrap is the way to go. I would suggest 2 foot guides, the wider frame UDLG (Batson) or THG (Pac Bay). They seem to hold up the best overall. The idea of bending and straightening is not a good idea. Maybe somebody else has used flexible guides that will hold up under the strain of fighting hard running big fish and can comment. We

Hello John, We use a size 20 or 25 for the butt guide (low , wide frame, Batson Forecast "U" seiries, Pac Bay "T" series for all the guides). Then use 2 transition guides to move the line under. All the guides other than butt are #8. On lighter rods, we might use 1 foot after the transition plus 1, either size 8 or size 7. Our customers feel more comfotable with the 2 leg
