Pretty sure that would void Mudholes warranty . I did think about that but wouldn't it mess with the action of the blank ? TIA Ron .

Roger , I looked but didn't see anything I wanted to use . Those were for casting / spinning rods and had the frame . Schneider may have it but that website is really hard to understand . I need pics , I'm just a farm boy !

Well I contacted the seller and he offered to refund for both kits . I declined as I can build one using sections from the two . One refund I think is fair . As always , thanks for your inputs . Ron

I just received two rod blanks that concern me a little .These are 3 piece IM 6 2wts . Granted they are not Sage or Winston but still have been good blanks for me . The first one has a tip with a bend in it . I can see it when sighting down the blank . The second one has two bends in it . They are not as pronounced as the tip on the first one . My question is , should I spine these blanks an

Thanks guys , I found a deal on you tube that attaches to my wrapper . It looks pretty cool , I'm going to give it a shot . Another problem I have is I just got two blanks in and the tops are crooked . I was thinking instead of finding the spine I'll just wrap the top of the bend ? What you guys think ? TIA. Ron

Any tips on wrapping tops ? These wimpy little ends on O wts thru 3 wts are testing me . I would appreciate a tip on a way to stabilize them . Right now I put a welding rod through the ring and attach to wrapper , works but not really well . TIA Ron

Thanks for the replies . I store them on a rod rack so that I can admire them . I do that much more than I fish , living in Hellazonia and all .

I have a horizontal rod rack . That's the way I store them . My only question is do I store them spine up or down ?

I'm curious as to which orientation is correct for storing fly rods horizontally . Store with the eyes up or down ? With the spine or against . I know this is a silly question but when looing at my rods the end sections bend down and I wouldn't want them to take a set . I had one do that but it was leaning against a wall in the good old Arizona @#$%& heat .
