Why is it so hard to find a 10' 4wt switch/spey rod and or blanks ? I see some rods from China on the @#$%& site but they are all out of the 10' models . I see every other length but my mind is made up and I want a 10 footer , I don't know why . Any ideas ? As always , TIA .
Ron

Ron,
CTS most likely can produce one for you.
How many pieces?
Painted - or raw carbon?
I'll check it out for you.

Ron,
If you want a 10 footer, take the 11 footer, chop a foot off of the end of the butt section and build your 10 foot 4 weight rod.

Best of luck

Pretty sure that would void Mudholes warranty . I did think about that but wouldn't it mess with the action of the blank ? TIA
Ron .

Ron,
All that you have to do is to buy the blank and mount the reel at the length that you want the rod to be the final length and then do some testing of the setup.

I expect that you would find the action to be just fine - after cutting a foot off the butt end of the rod.

Good luck

I don't build fly rods, but I've built float rods and spinning rods out of fly blanks. Why couldn't you just go to a 5wt. single hand blank? Lots of inexpensive options there.

I'm going with a 10' 3/4 glass spey/switch rod .

The reasons you will not find 10ft switch rods is because by definition they start at 11ft and spey are 12ft or more. There are 10ft 4wt fly rods Pac Bay for example. Call it a switch if you like.
