You wouldn’t happen to have a picture of your setup would you?

Is there another option for a thread carriage besides the CRB HWS-1? I need more than 2 spools at a time, and in general I’m not in love with the HWS-1. Wondering if this PAC Bay 4 Spool or this Batson would work? Open to any suggestions.

Thanks Norm. I'm using 4s on my inshore rod with 30 lb braid and a 25 lb leader, FG knot is definitely the only way to go. Works great!

When building a KR concept baitcasting rod, is there a line size threshold that would dictate moving up to a larger guide? For instance, I've used a RV6, KB 5, KB 4, KB 4, then KT 4s to the tip and found it perfect for 30 lb braid on a 7' inshore rod. I've also found it to work just fine with 17 lb mono on a similar rod. Would going to 50+ lb braid warrant a move to 5s or 6s? Or are 4s suffic

Jim, I have checked every sponsor here and I haven't seen one. I also don't see it in the catalog. Can you think of anyone that sells them?
Norm, I may just go with that option next time, it would make everything easier. Thanks!

189. Arbors for Fuji VSS
Is there an arbor that fits the Fuji VSS reel seat? I've been turning down the long REC polyurethane arbors, but I figure there has to be something ready made out there. The RECs are ~15 mm, the Pac Bay graphite arbors come in 11 and 14, but the VSS is 13 mm ID. I bought the 11 mm to try, but it looks like there will be too much slop.

Bought the suggested welding rods, bent them like you did in your directions, and now I've got some nice looking titanium hook keepers. Thanks!

What kind of rear grip and seat are you using? If it's a standard pipe seat, you can epoxy everything at the same time. If it's something like a Fuji VSS, you may want to glue the VSS, rear grip, and arbor together first. Then ream that combo out. Then glue everything to the rod.

192. Re: Fuji CC Tip Tops
I see that in the catalog now. I think my confusion was that Mudhole lists it as a micro spinning top. The catalog doesn't reference anywhere that it's spinning specific, and it lists it as suitable for both NGC and KR builds. Looks like Mudhole may need to update their description. Thanks!

194. Fuji CC Tip Tops
Hey guys,
Does anyone know if Fuji plans on releasing the F or FC guides in the new CC Silver coating? Right now, it seems the only option for matching the whole guide train is to go with the LG micro spinning top. I wouldn't mind using the MN, but Mudhole only has it in 6+ tube sizes with 8, 10, or 12 ring sizes.

Where did you get the guides? I'm receiving my order of KL-H, KBs, and LG tip tops in a few
