i agree also with doc ive been building on lami's a little and batsons blanks alot and have been nothing but happy i just got sick of warped blanks myself i can handle small crooks but not like there is fish on them.............

i know its easy and for some reason i cant figure it out i did e few ahwile back but got into buttwraps pretty heavy can someone please remind me on how to do a single thread inlay.........some reason mine keeps gapping apart i know im doing something wrong thanks................Rob

your not going to save much at all shipping 1 piece rods because of extra charges exp.. a7ft or bigger.. as far as im concerned there is no better method then pvc pipe when you build and ship a rod the customer pays for it anyway......and i always found the pvc pipe to be lighter

i always wrap the ferrul no matter what i build like Mike said peace of mind for about 2 minutes of wrapping

there is no rod factory anywhere around here kind of cool learn something everyday on here . i was never aware of any either of coarse im only 28.......so its a little before my time

hello Tim ive built bait casters up to 13 foot theres alot of benifits of a casting reel.... for running plugs i run the c4 garcias or higher and when im float fishing i love my calcutta ............

well i just got off the phone with janns customer service they are selling blanks but does not have much info for the consumer as of yet but he said he will call them and see what he can do for some litarture on the blanks and email or send out to me..i guess they a few to offer in differnt blank models so we will see what happens....and there website is under construction

hey guys janns netcraft sells there blanks and there the only one i found from what i gather some of the rouge guys and loomis guys or something along that line started there own thing something was mentioned about someone from kistler also so i dont know ...........started in 05 so they must have not quite took off yet in the blank department only janns is carrying them maybe ill call janns and

what ever you just said i totally did not understand.... i was talking about the guy at the sport show with all his mass rods on display i was not reffering to how you build rods or what you work with i simply stated you must have been in grand rapids at the show i live 20 minutes away from g.r ...................thats why i asked...............

i agree with Mike i hate that stupid hump.........lol.......it would make things much easier to do away with the thickness a thread would ride alot better without it... dremmel goes along way though..

well i got the chance to use my rod today ice finally left the river for a ahwile ......blank # ist1143f ...........i am very impressed with it caught a steelhead on the first cast non the less .............rod seems to work really good with hot n tots i dont know why it took me so long to try one........but hey live and learn hats of to the Batson crew still cant wait to try one of there new bla

Hello guys
hope all had a good trip i have a 10''6 slow action shikari i bought three of the buy outs the ferrule only goes in a inch and a half is this normal for those blanks all three do it. just want to make sure before i build them seems short for that long of a rod thanks.................Rob

i got a 10''6 shikari and the ferrule only goes in about 1-1/2 inches is this normal for these blanks or should i expect a break all three i got were like this so its not just one thanks......................Rob

you have to make sure the pen is permanent ink...........thats probably why i dident dry.

i could be that the epoxy might have not soaked through the tunnels on each side of the guide and thats what it might be just a guess ....
