hi Ross my first one i made by looking at the flex coat and it was real easy to make best of all 4 bucks for wood instead of using v blocks i drilled holes the same size as my dowels and clamped it to the desk kinda crude but it worked great for many years and still have it as a back up...........

there is nothing wrong with that Rob thread is feading over the guide no gaps nice for the first one.... if your going to ad trims to it i would run your main wrap a little shorter unless you like it that way good job though tight wraps ............

well i decided to try marbeling with thread master and i like it even more then what i did..... set up real nice when making my swirls real easy to work with and leveled out perfect. bubbles were very easy to take care of after my swirlin was done.... havent seen any 1 post about this yet so i thought id share oh yeah Andy was it ok to marble with it............ lol...........tight wraps Rob

just a thought maybe try a embroider shop i have one in my local town that does my jackets and a few rod bags once in ahwile really fair price...............if you cant find what your looking for.......... tight wraps

i for one really like andys cork the weight is not at all in my mind.. i run 15 and 13 foot drift rods one with almost 20 inches of andys cork and i fish it all day no problem... and might i say balanced really well and best of all i did not have ti fill a bunch of pits.........its all in what someone wants and likes ...........(get of the computer and away from the rod bench it causes weakness

st.croix brought there sc2 fly rod line back.... model# 3f909.2 wich is a 2 piece or they have a four piece comes in a satin black finish.................and has mod.fast action...........

lightly wet sand after your dry time also helps considerably takes of over spray and ruff lines then final coat...............

thanks for all the great info guys ...and yep tom im a firm believer of keeping it in town sales when i can ive seen to many friends go out of business around here in the past few years i guess they will be cryin when they cant get minnows at wal-mart or @#$%& fresh anyway.....lol....thanks again guys ill keep everything in mind tight wraps to all .......crabtree's custom rods

hello all any help would be great im going to get a new camera as the one i tryed did not work great no matter what i did... what digital camera's do you guys find that works the best for taking pics of your rods im not to up to date with these .... something with zoom and what mega pixal any help would be great .........thanks Rob

hello Walter i ran into this before myself and insted of returning it i put a 2 inch piece inside of the rod with five minute epoxy covered with cork then reelseat and foregrip up until now i was the only one that knew it was there ......................tight wraps ...Rob

Bill i coated a 13 ft float rod with 15 guides tip included with one mix usually it takes two for me.... anyway i was impressed dont know the exact working time though im sure it changes upon room temp exct. my rod building room temp stays around 70 in the winter....

well upon yesterday morning the mail man brought me some of andys finish and i had some catching up to do all i can say is wow it did everything he said.. i finished two matched float rods yesterday 13 ft even the little lady noticed the differance in clarity. to me seems to have brought out the color more in the wraps. crystal clear with no bubbles i was very happy with the results thanks andy

mines on the way ..............one batch for a rod that long thats great because i got a few float rods ranging from 13 to 15 ft to knock out all so time consuming when you have to mix more and more wich ads drying time cant wait to try it out.................tight wraps Crabtree's custom rods

i like them i fish with the 6''6 scv quite often and they are light my 3 year old took one over with a shimano 1000 and he has no problem handeling the rod other then snaggin me and tree's ...lol........nice rod and really sharp looking also tight wraps ........Rob

without a dought proper care needs to be taken before applying anything the reason i asked is because some epoxy gets really hard in the winter and dont flex as much as it would in warmer weather ...............

hello andy how is the flexability of your new product we fish all winter long in extreme conditions as long as there is no ice on the rivers... of coarse you havent got the chance yet because winter just hit but another product i used dident hold up well epoxy got hard and cracked my guess not flexible enough maybe its a dumb ???? but i thought id ask thanks ...........crabtree's custom rods
