Hi everyone I mentioned to the wife that I needed a metallic pen and she got me one from Sharpee, its very fine and writes well the lable says it is a oil base ink, will this play havock, fish eyes exc. with the finish or just make shure it is completely dry? Thanks Curt

Hellow all, the procoat I bought in february , just pulled it off the shelf other ran out, it had a 1/2" laor of crème setteled on the bottem, I mixed it up and did some tests and it seams to be OK, but I would like to know for shure before I use it on three rods that are wating. Is it OK or should I get some new? Thanks Curt

I want to build some rods for small mouth, I fish in northern New Hampshire I need them to be two pc. rods to travel. I haven't found any 2pc. blanks available, im shure im looking in the wrong place, hence my call for help, for any one that carries them. Thanks for all your help. Curt

I have been working on that, wraping on the grip no finish, you must be soft handed and even preshure to keep it flat, it will sink in unevenly and precise laying of the thread is nessesary, there is no moving the thread to pack afterword . Havent tried over finish yet that's next I applied procoat to the grip let it dry and I found with the softness of the grip, so far the finish fle

When I see the word custom I think well made top materials, can be made anyware. when I see hand made I see a craftman working in a small shop making things with there hands and there hearts and the love of what thay do, and you cant find that any ware else. I bought one a few mounts ago i've only had pcs. of practice blanks in it worked fine i liked it and got a second, well i put a salt rod in it 1" di. , the chuck kept loosening up, then tried it on the other one and same results, they worked well with the thinner diamaters not the thicker, has any one have the same proublem, or a fix? I had the same proublem,i posted it on the forum and asked for help, A fine youn man by the name of Craig Mullins from alabama come to my resque said he had 2 tickets and i met up with him at the hotel friday. I thank craig once again. If there is one thing on this forum i have learned is dont be shy to ask for help, cuz you will get what you ask for, the folkes here are great! Curt

I tested the rods they had at the convention this week end , the micro wave systen is no joke, at least with setups thay had at the show thay performad well of corse thats based on one of many types of rods out there, but i say from what i saw its worth a shot. Curt

This is a rod his father built for him 20 some odd years ogow he has since passed. He just wanted to keep it as close as posable as it was, Prity emotional seen when he has the rod in his hands. He beats himself up pritty good for beating the rod over the years, dont take the little things in life for granted they only come around once and they can become pritty important later on. rear grip

A frend of mine wants me to rebuild his salt rod. My question, the rod has a foam for grip and he has a habbit of setting his hooks in it every now and again, is there a product that you can fill the holes and match colers, or is it trash He likes the grip if i can salvage it. thank you all in advance for ypour help. Curt Chumming from a float tube, is a once in a life time experance.
