The triangle chuck is the real deal, I moved ends of the two piece drier to every angle I could
and I could not make it fail or even think about coming loose.
This will replace all other drying chucks, at least mine when they are available.

Over time fly rods have gotten faster and more powerfull, new materials exc.
I have found that most manufactures weather deliberate or not will call a rod a certain weight and will almost always test out to be a little higher.
and of corse line manufactures do the same you will find lines that are called a certain weight weigh a little heaver or lighter at the same length of line.

Thanks Jimmy that's just the ticket.
Paul the sinking tip well sort of is made denser by the line being woven much tighter than a floating line, the diameter of the line is much smaller made with the same amount of material, think water displacement
it displaces less water making it heaver than water.

87. Re: Just paint?
Its no different than having a car with or without'
without, the paint takes all the punishment. with, the clear
coat takes all the punishment
I gess its how long you want the paint to last, a good time with, or a little less long without.

The logo is overbearing they need to make a but cap with it on the bottem,
A couple designs are nice but most look like a golf club or tennis racket.
it needs to look like it belongs on a rod.
