Sounds like you are using braided line, when you real in with the line under tension braid will make a high pich sawing noise, the more preshure the louder the noise. some lines are louder than others due to different ways of manufactureiing or brading the line. nature of the beast.

I have until reacently I have only built fly rods, my first was 1962 I was 9 my dad tought me. my first fly I tied when I was 5. sorry your right I do need to learn it in the maner that you sajest it is truly the right way , I gess im getting lazy in my upper years. Curt

Why cant you make 2pc, rods, I do a lot of different types of fishing I just fish where I happen to be, I cant carry everything on the boat, I carry about 55 rods salt fresh fly, troll,cast, what ever I love it all, Storing that many 1pc.for travel cant be done, two pc. easy and your never without the rod you want and need for whare ever. I would go with the BP1024, the BP1025 will take a lot of the fun out of catching, you"ll have fun with the other and still handle bigger fish than you mentioned, jush have the drag adjusted right. Curt

Take a look at the Alps triangle seats. Ive used them on salmon trolling rods, light long line trolling for trout, and some casting rods, Thay work great and never come loose ever, and top of the line. Curt

The bubbels are forming inside the epoxie from both the dna or asatone . they will evaporate and create bubbels because after a sertain amount of time the gas cant escape the epoxie anymore, ie traped gas. Curt

I worked in a custom golf club shop in the 60s we used two sided tape then and they still do. ever here of a golf club flying out of its grip lol but they have come loose . easy fix, sceringe with assatone injected under the grip, loosens the glue and slides off. clean shaft retape slid on grip, or even a different one. Great thing about this grip, such little effort to change out, 10 min

I like the rainshadow rx7 for lite ultra lite 3w. accurate casting and easy on the soft mouths, loads of fun. It will also handle the occational big fish as well with fanes Curt.
