I drill one end 1/2 way through and flip the grip and finish the drilling from the other side, quite accurate for a drill press. Curt

Slow down when you feed the material into the blade keep the preshure on the blade light let it cut it wont offset the blade as much .

If you have any of that ac plywood left you could rip a 2" pcs. with a 45deg. angle in it and rip 45deg. triangle to fit in the top of the other piece to finish the edge, stain and urathain.

In need a blank to perform as described below. I have a friend that charters on the Delaware bay. He primarily fishes for flounder. every now and again hooking up a 20lb. rock fish, customers have a tendency to break rods ment for flounder. What he is looking for is a rod that can give the customer a fun fight with the flounder but be able to handel the 20lb,er without breakage. I in

The type of cord that you would use for tying meat to cook. has good thickness so not a thousand raps it absorbs the epoxie well. and don't forget to prep the blank before you wrap. Curt

I think checkering would be incredable on a grip, id like to see it when your done I have been watching a frend ofmine that checkers fore years I think you have a great idea checkering in strategic locations on the grip for specific hand contact points the more I think about it I defiantly want to see a finished grip I just know it will be ausom.. I have used the cord they use for tieing meat for cooking it absorbs the epoxie well I think it is cotton has about a 3/32" thick fills the gap fast without a lot of marerial, its also light. makes for a good adhetion too the blank. put it on like a cross wrap openings to the blank Curt

I use the cord that cooks use for tieing meat for cooking, wraped in a cross wrap open space to the blank is important, the cord absorbs the epoxe as apposed to nylon cord, its fairly thick so it takes up space without a lot of layors. Curt

I have that exact lazer level. the onlyt problem is that the beam is a little wide and grainey. I also tried a lazre site for other toys it was better but still a little thick. still looking for a tight sharp beam or at least closer. Curt Never take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night!

last winter I built 3 fly rods, im going to build 2 more, there was a request last winter by some one info on calculater, it worked really well for adding or deleting guides, adjusting layout, saved a lot of work-time before static test .
