These blanks have never been built on. They look new. There is some tape residue on a couple left over from masing tape I guess. I'm going to clean them up and try and sell them. I just figured I'd post them here and see if anyone knew what they were first.

Hello all! I was hoping someone could help me with four rod blanks I purchased this weekend at an estate sale. All four are labeled SAGE Graphite and the numbers are: B286GSH, B10106GFL, B473GSP, B179GSH. From what I've been able to find the GSH stands for "graphite steelhead rod" but is this a casting blank or spinning blank? Does anyone know what they might be worth? I'd like to sell

35. Re: Guide wraps
Thanks for the replies. I read Tom's book and he said to make sure you don't wrap too tight, that you should be able to move the guide if necessary to adjust for alignment. I guess maybe I was worried about wrapping too tight. Don't get me wrong, the wraps look good, but I enjoy the heck out of this so I don't mind redoing them. I will say the micros are little buggers sometimes. I bet when I use

36. Guide wraps
Hi guys/gals. I'm building my first rod and I am currently wrapping my micro guides. Things are going great, but I do have a question about pulling my tag ends through with my loop. All of my tag ends come through ok, but what I notice is the threads they are sliding under are pulled a bit inward when I pull the tag end through. Is this normal? Am I wrapping too tight with my thread? Just curious

Hi everyone. I've searched, but not found what I was looking for on here. I want to build something to hold a fishing rod while under a load, and doing the guide placement. Does anyone have pics they would be willing to share of something they built? Thank you all!

That makes more sense than what I was trying to do. I guess I misunderstood how to perform a static test. I've read quite a lot on this forum and others, but sometimes it's nice to have a visual to accompany what you read. Thank you very much for the information you have provided. It's greatly appreciated. I was going to try and find some smaller tubing to hold the guides, but cable ties sound li

OK. How do you attach the weight to the tip top only? What do you attach the line running through the guides to? I'm frustrated and confused! I just want to be able to adjust the guides as necessary once I see how the guides look upon stressing the rod. Adhesive doesn't seem to offer a simple solution, because you'd have to remove them and reapply adhesive upon moving them. This is made more diff

Hi guys, I've got several questions for you. I'm using micro guides on a hydra blank (7'6") flipping stick and I'm finding it very difficult to use the guide adhesive effectively. The directions say to use a thin film, but I did that and on my static test they didn't hold. I then re-attached them using more, which did work, save one guide. What is the best way to attach these little PITAs (u

Terry, could you send me that tutorial as well? I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
