Rod holder for static distribution test

Hi everyone. I've searched, but not found what I was looking for on here. I want to build something to hold a fishing rod while under a load, and doing the guide placement. Does anyone have pics they would be willing to share of something they built? Thank you all!

What types of rods are you building? For freshwater rods, the duplicator board from Swampland (I think Mudhole has them too) works well. You can put two blanks on at the same time to compare their action and power, and it also works well for holding rods while static testing. For heavy duty rods, you will need to go for something more along the lines of the one George posted. Mudhole has an option along those lines as well.

The one above that George posted is Mine I still use it for Stand-ups. For lighter rods I use a Alum pipe Screwed to the Side of my Cabinet,it works well

I just used a piece of pvc tubing clamped in my vise at an appropriate angle. I 'think' that it only serves to hold the rod while you put a bend to it.

I bought a plastic rod holder from Wallyworld for 9 bucks and bolted it to the end on one of my 10 ft work benches. It angles any direction.
